This is actually kind of an interesting thing because later on when Disney did Atlantis they actually used CGI to make all thousands of bubbles for their submarine shot that thankfully helped because the amount that they would have needed to do so by hand...was simply not possible for the tiniest details and just wasn't doable, not with countries that had laws against slavery anyway. And of course do the Chinese studios get the credit for all their hard work on said bubbles? No. That would make too much sense.
