The mauser broomhandle never looked so good. One of the things I really love about Star Wars is the use of World War I and World War II weapons as futuristic beam weaponry. Gives the saga that golden age SF feel.

Thanks as well! I work hard at it, but I've always enjoyed doing odd things like this. Never really considered people liking it as much as they do, but I will embrace it and have fun meeting like-minded folks along the way. Much more valuable than any money

I hear ya. It's all too easy to shell out hundreds on a premade prop. Far more exciting and fun to make your own from..well...whatever you can find!

That's pretty awesome.
But everybody knows the DC-15 is so much cooler. ;D

Perhaps.
No, I'm a huge Star Wars fan. And to be completely honest, the original trilogy is better than the prequels. Only because episode 3 is worse than episode 4. (3 & 4 are the only ones I dislike. I HATE 3. 4 is okay.)
But you should totally do one of these on a TIE Interceptor. They're so AWESOME. Or maybe Darth Vader's lightsabre. That would be awesome.
Regardless, keep up the good work, mate! Looking fantastic.

OH, so nice! Always loved this blaster. The Han action figure standing next to my keyboard holds his with pride.

Ah yes, Hans blaster. The original prop was a Mauser C/96 "Broomhandle". When "Starwars" was first filmed, their budget was too limited to have special order props, so they just bought a bunch of old guns and glued various knick-knacks on them to make them look more futuristic!

as in existing in a three dimensional reality, existing matter? yes. as in clever computerated trickmongery? no

Han had this tweaked for less shots, but more power.
