Description EDIT: And of course I borked the thumbnail vs zip file issue. Sorry about that! All is corrected!

Almost exactly three years ago, I uploaded a set of 10 desktop wallpapers based around classic EPCOT Center attractions: each attraction had a distinctive glyph founded on a circle, and EPCOT Center had it's own glyph comprised of five circles. Well, my interest in design has advanced a bit in the intervening three years, and my computer has, as well. I'm now using a Mac rather than my dodgy old PC, and I've got better editing tools at my disposal.

The problem, however, was that the original files couldn't be read by my Mac. So, to make a long story short, using a virtual PC on my Mac, I used a free version of the original app, converted the files to Photoshop format, uploaded those to an online backup service, downloaded them back to the Mac (because, of course, USB functionality wasn't functional on the virtual machine) and then converted them to their current state. A bit more editing, some tweaking, and a new style of layout, and here we are.

You now have 20 desktops, two each of the ten designs; standard (4:3) and widescreen (16:10). The standard resolution comes in a 3200 x 2400 .PNG file, and the widescreen is a 3200 x 2000 .PNG file, both of which will hopefully be big enough for most single monitor needs. You have full permission to downconvert them to fit your monitors.

Glyphs are from the "Prototype Community 25" font found at [link]
Font is Prototype from the same website.

And, of course, it goes without saying that the glyph designs and attraction names are, and remain, property of the Walt Disney Company. Please don't sue me.

Obviously the Wonders of Life glyph seems to be missing from the collection. Is that intentional, or was it because of its obscurity? Just bringing it up in case.

Honestly, I never felt the Wonders of Life glyph fit in with the others…it didn't make good use of the circle motif, but threw in a pentagon for no good reason. The pavilion always seemed half finished, so I just opted to leave it out. I can endeavor to make one, though if you'd like! I can't give anything resembling a time frame, but I'm willing to give it a go...

I always love the retro epcot stuff. To bad I was born in 95 and I never got to see horizons, world of motion, and wonders of life. I do have hazy memories of some stuff before they were either refurbished or replaced. Like the part where you decent in spaceship earth before they added the create your future and the Food Rocks in the Land before it became Soarin'.
