I was going through the photos which have been declined to see if any missed getting a comment/critique.
Firstly, those are some nifty colours! I almost thought it was fireworks from the thumbnail. I think this photo was declined partly due to seeing non-nature objects in the back (a fence) and partly due to not being very clear as to what the photo is of -- if the title didn't say tree I'd still be figuring it out. Overall the photo is very dark which takes away too. A tighter crop around the tree might help focus the eye better.
