Description
A simple (I hope^^) little tutorial on how to draw forests on maps, drawing from what I've learned by experimenting and from other tutorials out there. If you use it, please be so kind and drop a link in the comments below to your piece.Related content

Question: How would you draw bamboo forests? I've been practicing for the last few days, but can't get it to work right.
So, looking for alternate opinions.

I'm not sure if the tutorial style I applied can be used for the more delicate types of forests like a bamboo forest. To make such a forest discernable from other deciduous types you'd have to go for a high degree of individual detail where one could at least make out some individual trees. I created a more detail-oriented tutorial here , but that also may not be of too much use. For bamboo I'd try for very thin trunks and a sort of small, bushy tree tops. Can't give you much input here as I've never needed to draw that.

Maybe once I manage to draw decent mountains I will. Right now my mountains are shit, which is why I use mountains brushes rather than custom-drawn mountains.
