this started off as a joke and now tons of people keep faving it and i've gotten a couple of notes about it.i am NOT emo.
i do not APPROVE of thirteen year old girls and boys dressing in tight black clothing, putting on tons of eyeliner, dying their hair pink/white blonde/black, listening to atreyu, hawthorne and my chem and complaining about how terrible their life is because their hearts have been broken, when in reality, it's just a culmination of hormonal angst and parental rage.
this isn't even anime/manga, it's chibi. sorry if i sound like a bitch, but every time i get a message saying xXcut-my-wrists-black-my-eyesXx or xxxemo-chicxxx has faved this i throw up a little. when i next have the time to do a deviation clean-up, i might as well delete it. i dunno, i'll see how i feel.

Sorry, I should have expanded. I don't approve of young children (because at thirteen, that's what they are) listening to very depressing music, claiming that they emphasise, claiming that these bands make them hardcore, when usually I find that there isn't a great deal of appreciation for the music in the first place. People can listen to whatever music they want, but I don't think they should dress and act a certain way just because of the genre they like. David Bowie is my favourite singer, but I'm not going to dress like a clown or a goblin king just to prove to everyone else that I'm so hardcore, or that I'm so into Bowie. I never said they weren't supposed to listen to these bands. This cartoon/drawing was meant as a private joke, and yet nobody seems to get it.

i agree with you. thirteen year olds are growing up too quickly and saying their life is blah because of their parents wouldn't let them go out.
i like the picture you do, and i can understand how you feel. it's pretty annoying when you see some one announcing their issues or whatnot on their display names. i can understand personal messages. but please.. having annoying names like "i'm emo" and xXslicemyarmXx is nothing more but a frikin call for attention.
even if they say they are emo and blah and act it- doesn't make it so.. it's nothing but a useless fad that's really irritating and have mixed itself with heavy metal rock and scene.
