Hey everyone! Been a while since i've posted, unfortunately i've had some art block. But im back with another post hehe. I PROMISE THE NEXT POST WONT BE A REF SHEET IM SORRY!! anyways.. this looks a little bad because i drew this on my phone, so im sorry about that as well. anyway lets get to the character shall we?

"So Zephyr the Sheep was born a normal sheep, he didn't have any powers. Until one day, it was sunny and there wasn't a single cloud in the sky, he was playing outside in his family's garden, until... BAM! he got hit by a random bolt of lightning. If he were anyone else he would've DIED, but he's awesome so he didnt, and got electrokinesis." -my boyfriend.
so that was my silly bf's goofy explanation of his backstory, I'm gonna try to make sense of it. the inspiration was mareep, because he really likes mareep.
For the sake of explanation, we'll say the "random bolt of electricity" came from a fight between sonic & Co. and Eggman, or maybe even Surge since she also wields electricity. I'm still deciding.
And the reason he survived, his wool. His wool protected him from actually dying, but did leave his young body strained and injured until he healed fully. The lightning merged with his DNA, causing him to be able to have electric powers. The lightning was "attracted" (idk the technical term for it) to his wool and hit him directly, and now it acts as sort of a conductor for his electrical powers.
but his powers weren't a blessing, but a curse. At firsts they did nothing but hinder his life. People avoided him, because they didn't want him to shock them by touching them (and would also cause their hair to go "staticky" when they get too close) and he always had to be careful of touching things, or he would ruin them unless they were something like rubber or something that resisted electrical charges.
he was lonely for a majority of his life, he couldn't go near anyone, causing him to become socially inept from constantly hiding and not being able to develop social skills. Not only was he really shy, but everything he's been through has caused him to be really bitter.
he sought help within Dr. Eggman, hoping he could help him control his electrokinesis, and being the genius that he is, of course he was able to help! buuuuut for a price... he required him to use his powers to capture Sonic once he finally learned to harness them. Which he did try to do, and almost succeeded, but Sonic is always victorious pretty much, so it didn't work.
Eggman created special gloves and shoes that channel his electricity specifically to his palms. He also modified his horns to become electrical rods, making it even easier to receive energy to create electricity.
POWERS
-He's able to create big spheres of electricity, and shoot them at any target (think electroball from pokemon)
-He can shoot lightning from his palms
-He charges up his attacks by rubbing his palms together (almost like a defibrillator)
-And he's extremely fast and agile, but of course nowhere near as fast as sonic, BUT he can teleport (but I don't equate that to being faster than sonic
Like any well balanced character, Zephyr has weaknesses. He can't use electricity on things like rubber or ground, rendering his powers useless. And he's mortal, he can die if he becomes critically injured, which is rare but possible.
He is also Jezebeth's boyfriend, but I'll explain how they met in another post
I think I got everything, I mightve missed some things but if there's any questions I'll be happy to answer. Also, I don't know how electricity works, if you're more educated on the topic, I'd be happy to get some advice from you.
