Description
Behold what happens when two people discuss Ninjago and the Nutcracker over the Internet. Pretty self explanatory, actually!This little AU/ fanfic thingy was put together by TheKittenKat and myself. Basically, the Land of Sweets is another world/realm place where people in Nelson and Cole’s world can visit through their dreams, although it only seems to accept those who are in a particularly bad emotional state. There they can relax and find relief in the sweet and gentle... but they must take care to not spend too much time there, lest their true bodies perish in the real world. Here’s a brief summery of the plot and characters (that may change as we develop the idea?)
Once upon a time, there was...
- A little boy named Nelson. He a good kid, but lately he’s had it pretty rough. His father passed away a few months ago and he is still coping with the loss. When his gentle and hardworking mother hosts a small Christmas party, the only person he’s looking forward to seeing is his strange but kind godmother Mystaké Drosselmeyer who has a surprise for him: an old fashioned Nutcracker “who could really use a friend right now”. Unfortunately, his crummy cousins break his gift almost immediately, but as they’re being reprimanded by the adults, Gothmother Drosselmeyer shows him how to fix his new friend and gives him tools to do so. Later that evening, when the party has concluded and all the guests are sent home, Nelson tries to get his rest. But with the stroke of midnight he finds himself flung into a world of magic and mystery, quite literally! A army of toy mice that are twice as big as him are bearing down on him and a very much alive Nutcracker Prince! Together, he and Nelson will have to work together along with all of their new friends if they wish to free the Land of Sweets from the tyranny of the cruel Toymaker and her two head generals: the King and Queen Mouse. There is only one way: to master the dancing/fighting style created by the mysterious and powerful Sugar Plumb Master!
- A young man named Cole. He and his family were well off and pretty happy. Life was sweet. And then Things weren’t. Ever since the loss of his mother, both Cole and his father have had pretty heavy depression, his father throwing himself into his work while some days Cole can’t find the energy to get up. But then something miraculous stared happening: Cole began to have very vivid and real dreams about a land made of sugar, where the people were simple and kind, but seemed unbothered by small tasks that really should get done. Cole was only too happy to help the residence of this world, fixing holes in roves, finding lost pets, and so on. He became well known as the Visitor who could take on any task, no matter how difficult, and crack it like a nut! Cole fell asleep more and more often and was happy with his new friends and the world... But then that’s when the nefarious King and Queen of Mice made their move. Cole Did everything he could to stop them, but he was only one guy up against an entire army. For his resistance, the Toymaker made him into a living Nutcracker, sealing his soul in the Land of Sweets. His body being hospitalized, Cole had all but given up hope. That was, until a small kid appeared next to him as he tried to get away from the Toy-Mice army and refused to let things stay this way. For better or worse, Cole musters up his energy one last time and help the kid do the impossible.
- A Flower named Lloyd, who’s father and uncle have gone missing! They are the only two people in all the Land of Sweets who know the ancient art of Sweetjitzu; integrating a wielder’s personal dancing style with the magic of the land itself. What with his home, the Meadow, and all of his flower friends and family being frozen over by The Mouse King and Queen’s allies, he has no choice but to help his newfound friends and free the land of the Toymaker’s cruel rule!
- A Snowflake named Zane, who only managed to get out of an ice city gone dictatorship with his partner, a Dewdrop named Pixal. They recount how the evil Peach-bun Chen has taken over the ice city in the Peppermint/Snowflake mountains and are forcing all the snowflakes to freeze the city continuously, which is spreading out into the neighboring Meadow and Marshmallow-and-Fruitpunch Swamp!
- A Chocolate named Kai and a Coffee named Nya, who both yearn to leave their family’s boring old Baker-smith forge and have a real adventure. Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it) an errant Toy Soldier Nutcracker and young Visitor seek shelter in their family’s forge, and they both must help guide the pair through the land if they ever want to learn the ways of the Sugar Plumb Master! Their father speaks of two old friends who know the SPM’s Sweetjitzu, but they must first cross the Swamp in order to reach the Meadow where the old pair lives.
- A Candycane named Jay, who lived a peaceful life tinkering in his adoptive parents’ Gumdrop Junkyard situated just at the beginning of the swamp. He was the only person to stand with Cole against the Toymaker the first time, but after his friend was defeated, Jay presumed to worst and ran. Now that they have been reunited, Jay will lay his life on the line to help his old friend, even if it means risking it all! Again! Come on, second times the charm, right?
- Two Tea brothers, who are the only practitioners of the ancient art of Sweetjitzu. Unfortunately, the eldest brother, Garmadon, disappeared a while ago and soon after, so did his younger brother Wu. Their only students, a pair of Visitors, have traded agreed to work for the Toymaker in exhange for toy-mouse bodies, keeping their souls in the land of sweets and allowing them 24 hour access to carry out her orders dutifully.
- The Sugar Plumb Master... A mysterious figure who’s totally real, you guys! We promise!...Maybe?...We hope?

Aaaaahhhh! Look them! I can't! I am nearly tearing up agian! I loved them! 
1.) Nelson. Oh my stars! Look at my little purple bean! I loved his scarf! He just looks so cute! I want to hug him! To be honest, if he were one to the Sweets, he would be a purple jelly bean. I am just saying. X3
2.) Cole looks super good. His copper skin and eyes reminds me of Echo Zane. I kinda makes him look like a robot and it was a bit off putting, but then I thought it could be the wood color or maybe paint color he was given to this skin? I am not sure. Not against it though. I do wonder what he would look like if he was given blue or black eyes? I have been looking up what the usual Nutcrackers looks like, mostly they have been blue or sometimes black. I don't know, I think blue could help balance out the warm colors of red and yellow. other than that slight critiams, I thank he still looks very handsome. I have to comment on that one white hand though. You may have forgotten to color it, but I first thought it was a white glove! I just imagine Cole just had this one white glove he is somehow able to take and slap it across the face at someone to challenge the person to a duel (Mostly it is reserved for those most deserving for messing with the purple bean XD).
3.) Lloyd. I love the petal/flowers in his hair! It's too precious! His outfit is just *chef's kiss* perfect! 10/10.
4.) Another perfect design! Zane is is defiantly in his element! I am sorry I am going to say this, but I can justify it. This all reminds me of Elsa from Frozen. I am justify this since I just recently watch Frozen 2, which in my opinion surpassed the original movie, and so I can't help, but he reminded of Elsa. I was even thinking of A Ninjago Frozen Au. I am sure based on how popular Frozen is, there is already Ninjago Au's based around Frozen. So I won't even go there.
5.) Pixal looks great too! Nothing like seeing her in purple and green. Those are seriously her colors she looks good in. ^^
6.) And here is my angry chocolate boi, Kai! His hair just looks like chocolate frosting to me now, because I am getting super hungry. I will eat soon. I promise. Anyways, his outside is just perfect for him. He looks sleek and about to kick someone's butt of anyone dare comments that ballet is only for girls. It's like that one vine that three guys are laughing at one dude for doing ballet and he starts doing ballet and purposely kicks in the place where the sun doesn't shine on all three guys. It's perfect. XD
7.) Oh Nya. Nya is queen now. Look at her! She will be being the boy milkshakes to her yard, but will be kicked out by said queen before her brother or boyfriend can get to them. XD
8.)Precious Peppermint boy! Ahh! He is so cute and handsome! I must ask how did he kept his cloths so white after living in the junkyard for so long? I think many of us with white clothing need to know the secret.
9.)I going to cheat a little by putting both Garmadon and Wu together, but I have a good reason for doing this! They both look majestic with the white, purple, and gold colors! Where you placed the colors is genius! I may be other thinking this, but here me out. Garmadon in the show is purely black (for the most part of he ain't evil), but there has been many times he has the color of purple when it came to magic related stuff. I think it was always purple. That's why it's so fitting to me that is coat(?) is purple, because I presents the dark past he carries and still going on in the show. (I still miss normal old man Garmadon. I rather have him than his evil counterpart.) The gold belt and cape is color fitting considering he has done very good things I his last too. The gold is the good still inside him and the cape is the good he left behind. Now as for Wu, it's kind reverse. Now the purple on with doesn't mean he is evil. The gold represents all the good he has done and is best known for that. However, purple here doesn't doesn't really represent pure evil per say, it just means he has many mistakes he made under his belt and those mistakes have caused some evil in Ninjago, such as Morro, Garmadon getting bite, evil snake lady he betrayed(I always forget her name.), and much more. I am not saying that it is purely Wu's fault and those guys had a choice to make either to be evil or not (Garmadon is the only exception, because we was very corrupted by the venom. ;-
10.) The Sugar Plum Master. I am sorry, but I laughed a bit at the tutu. Did you do that as a reference to my imagining Wu in a Sugar Plum Fairy dress from Barbie and the Nutcracker. (Note: this does not confirm the Wu as the Sugar Plum Master.) If not, that's okay. I was imagining something else on the design for The Sugar Plum master. I am not sure if it would matter of not anymore though. If you would like to know my idea, I am more than happy to share it won't you later.
Also, each description of the characters so far is from any and funny! I get a good chuckle to your hilarious descriptions. The Sugar Plum Master was perfect! Also, I am funny and very talented? Aaaawww! Thank you so very much! Guys I need to let you know that Ms. StrawberrySquirrel here was super fun to talk to and work with for the few days since I met her. I got to be nerdy along with her and was super excited for the next reply! She has a great imagination too and a wonderful sense of humor! I am so happy this discussion she and I had became this Au/fanfiction-y thing that is looking beautiful so far. It's like watching a child growing up too fast and worrying on your child's first day of kindergarten if he was going to be bullied or not, but when I came to pick him up, I found out the whole class and the teacher loves him to bits. I am sure the whole Au isn't complete just yet and I think Strawberry knows this too. I just want to thank you all for liking the idea so far! I know not everyone is going to like the idea, because people when different taste, but hey that is okay. I just at least attracted any of you for taking your time for checking this out at least! I also want to thank you, StrawberrySquirrel for designing the characters for the Au/fanfiction! You are very talented and I am so honored by all this. Oh jeez I'm close to crying again! I am sorry. It's just I never thought in my wildest dreams that someone would love any of my Au ideas so much they make concept art. It's all just so overwhelmingly wonderful to me. To think our conversation turned into this gem. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. And also, thank you everyone for at least checking this out and for those that love the idea. It is greatly appreciated.

1. Purple bean is best bean. I added a beaver detail to his scarf but i don’t think the resolution DeviantArt played on it does it much favors!
2. Hmmm, I see your point! I did try to color it a light woody broken but adding details like wood grain gradient might have made it more obvious. His eyes are glowing orange because a.) I wanted to have his eyes glowing or colored to show that he was in an enchanted body that was not his own, (although in hindsight, that means I should have made Harumi and Morro’s eyes glow and/or colored as well. Whoopse! My bad. Oh well!) b.) Cole’s favorite Color is secretly Orange! (I read that somewhere once...)
Also, the not-white hand was supposed to be bear! The idea being that when his arm was temporarily broken, he lost the glove on it! It’s a small, subtle detail and I’m glad you caught it!
3. Flower Lloyd was surprisingly the easiest to design! I’m happy with how well he turned out!
4. In all seriousness I have seen such works: www.deviantart.com/drawinginte… .Elsa’s influence is inescapable. We can only accept it as a part of our being... *looks out into the middle distance. Is immediately beaned in the back of the head by a snowball.*
5. Honestly, I mostly drew off of Lloyd and and Zane’s designs for her inspiration.
6. Kai is the master if In-Yo-Face-Fu. He has trained with his sister in this art form and takes it very seriously! Fudge hair and all.
7. The grand master of In-Yo-Face-Fu. She can fix broken machines, kick butt all the while looking fabulous and showing off her chiseled abs! Clearly Kai’s influence was not lost on her either!
8. Jay has studied years under the most sticky of conditions. His parents, while loving, are in fact Gumdrops so he has perfected the art of keeping whites fresh whilst living in a junkyard next to a swamp. Stains are thought to be an inevitability in this land but Jay? Jay is truly a genius of his times! (He just sews a new identical outfit when stains get on it and hides the dirty ones all around the junkyard.)
9. I’m not even going to pretend I had that level of insight! I just thought the main powers of Destruction and Creation (Violet and Gold, respectively) centered in their outfits would be fitting, although your descriptions are entirely accurate! Garmadon having a dark past but owning up to it (I send empathic sympathies regarding the loss of Garma-Dad), and Wu doing his best to not be swallowed up by past regrets.

It’s true Wu was a factor in many villains, however, he never tries to consciously hurt them. If you think about it, most of his life has been the loss of loved ones to the Darkness. Garmadon was bitten and, although he fought against it valiantly, eventually turned, fighting his brother over the Golden Weapons (I’m referencing the Battle Between Brothers short here). Morro was overridden with a need to prove himself, and what with the recent loss of his father, and his brother going off to train somewhere unknown, leaving Wu all alone to guard the Weapons, he was used to people slipping away from him. This was only hammered in when Garmadon finally turned full bad guy and Wu couldn’t bring himself to defeat his older brother. It was only by an act of pure luck, lighting sticking Garmadon, that he fell into the Underworld. After that he had to make sure the Golden Weapons were truly safe and had to find the dragons and walk on foot to hide them all over Ninjago, which took years. Years in which he lost contact with what remained of the Alliance of Elemental Masters. On top of that all, Aspheera (the Fire snake lady) emotionally manipulated Wu into helping her (unknowingly) attaining power which she blatantly abused over innocent people. While Wu does make some tough calls, he is undoubtably right up there with Lloyd and Garmadon with the number of unfortunate, horrible things that happen to him. Even recently, when he fought the Ninja to stop them from going to the Never-Realm, he was driven by fear: fear of loosing the family that he still had, fear of loosening even one more student because of him. Actually, due to his shared heritage with Garmadon, it is entirely possible Wu had latent Destruction Oni powers when he was younger, but when Garmadon turned, he had to quash any deep negative feelings in order to keep both of them in check.
Whew! Sorry about that built up Wu fan-girling, had to get it out. Thanks for listening to me ramble!
10. ... I may indeed have been inspired by your beautiful and eloquent description. Yes. Yes it was. Even so, this was more of a throw away joke! If you have another idea what he looks like, by all means, I would be exited to know what you think he really looks like!
I should be thanking YOU! You ARE talented, funny and a true joy to nerd-out together with! And thank you for such the generous description in kind. It might sound cheesey, but truly that means a lot.
Pulling down the curtains for a bit, I have a tiny confession: I’m scared of people. There are times when I’m honestly terrified because I’m in a social situation, even if the people I am with are sweet and gentle. And make no mistake, I am surrounded by wonderfully sweet, soft, strong nerds, like yourself! Because of this fear, I haven’t had enough courage to make tons of friends. Being online is sometimes even more difficult when I can’t read facial expressions. But lately I’ve been taking risks, talking with people, getting to know their likes and dislikes, just enjoying having a good chat... It’s the kind of life my younger self would have dreamed of. Oh dear, I’m getting dewey-eyed too!
I’ll close off by saying that it has been and always will be an honor and a privilege to be your fellow nerd. Coming up with ideas is super fun, but doing it with friends makes it all the more special and a true treasure!

2.) I think I get it your reasoning. It would be pretty obvious that he is a toy now, but isn't that kind do the point? Haha. Well he may be not fully a toy yet? Hm. Oh! I love the reasoning behind the eye color! Nice! Also, props for the trick of Cole's favorite color being orange! ^^
3.) Yea I say Lloyd and plant life really go together. Although there is an element master of nature. I had to look the guy up, because I forgot his name. Bolobo is the name. He would totally be one of the flower people too.
4.) Yo! That fanart so cool! (Pun was not intended at first, but now it is haha.) Also, I have to agree that Frozen is pretty much made a mark on our history. Even after many years of hype later before Frozen 2 came out, Frozen still felt like a recent movie that has came out. I was startled how long ago Frozen hit theaters. *wipes snow off of your head* I know the movie was considered overrated by many and while I can see why, I still liked it. "Let it Go" is still a very good song and I actually could relate to the song growing up. More importantly, I can relate to Elsa during the first movie. She and Anna are also good role model for sisters and any siblings in general. I like the fact they did sister love instead of romantic love to help unfreeze Anna and help Elsa control he powers. During the birthday special, Elsa was doing her best to be the best big sister by throwing the best party for her little sister while she had a terrible cold. That is sister goals and honestly relatable. I see myself in Elsa and my sister as Anna.

9.) Oh jeez! Well looks like I am pretty much on the nose in terms of color placement in the clothing and what they represented in terms of Ninjago's characters. Speaking of which, *looks at the long fangirl text about Wu* I do know that will isn't entirely to blames and I do understand Wu's character. For all the misfortunes that he endured, it's no wonder he keeps secrets and things vague. I felt furious what the ninja for being angry with Wu about Aspheera being betrayed by him even before Zane went to the Never Realm, because it was honestly no time to be angry at the moment and if I remember correctly, the ninjas weren't even angry at Wu for not telling them about Morro and Morro took Lloyd. Besides, this shouldn't be a new concept of Wu not telling them things. I felt so and for Wu being at tacked by his own students, because they thought he wasn't being rational about things after Zane left. I wish they understood the amount of heartbreak that led to Wu not wanting to let his students go into this dangerous rescue mission. ;-; Also, I want Garma-dad back.

Hearing your confessions made my heart melt. I am so pleased to hear that you are making more friends. I it can be scary to put yourself out there. It is true that it's can be hard to read people since you are not able to read facial expressions and you have to be careful around the internet since there are creeps out there. Still, I am glad to have spoken and nerd out with you. If you like to here my confession, here it is: I haven't really been into Ninjago in a very long while. I still like to pop in every now an then to see what's new, but I don't go too deep into it. Then I see your fan art of Harumi and Morro. I have seen it before, but never thought much of it. I finally decided to check it out. I liked enough to favorite it and comment on it. You replied and well we started to talk about voice actors which led to talking about the Nutcracker. The rest is history. I never nerded out for Ninjago in a long time and it's been the first time since forever since I did. I want to thank you for rekindling that spark. I am usually afraid for long winded messages that I type out, because I m scared it's too long and it may be a waste of time for someone to read the whole thing. I just get passionate about some stuff. I don't always make long messages, but when I get my nerd on, long messages are heavily the case. I am so happy that you don't mind he long messages (I think) and you reply back with longer messages than the previous one! I can tell you were passionate about the Ninjago Nutcracker idea as we kept going back and fourth about it. It was really fun and exciting to come up with ideas and see what ideas you had I am honored as well to nerd on with a fellow nerd! It's nerd or nothing! (You are what I did there? lol)

Hehe, thanks for listening to me rave about Wu. I see a lot of surprising negativity towards him and I just gotta talk about it some times! Speaking of which, *pats back* Ya, I miss Garma-Dad too. At least his good side is sitting pretty in the Departed Realm with his father! I hope they get to reconnect after everything that happened.
In my opinion, unfinished designs are always the best. It’s like the character’s still deciding to pick what to wear; they’ll put them on when the time is ready. Plus it mean you can change it as many times as you’d like!
My friend, there is nothing more I love than long intricate messages, wherein cool people talk about things they like. Weather you have dipped your toe into a show and had enough, or weather you dive in, I have learned that we can all just enjoy a good story. I occasionally drift away from a lot of fandoms but they always find a way to keep roaring back into my mind. Their like the tides! Very, very temperamental tides or a deep yet terrifying ocean.
