My fan character, Felidena, all snuggled up with Tygra (LUCKY!!)

this took me forever to color (but it was fun!). I was able to get a 50-pack of colored pencils the other day

I don't like a lot of the colors, especially Tygra's clothes. I tried about 8 different shades and blue and grey and none of them seemed to go well so I tried blending but all in all the colors just didn't fit perfectly, but I guess it's ok as long as you get the idea
for Felidena, I'm still trying out colors for her--I wanted her to be grey but I'm still not sure if I want her to be more of a silver or normal grey or a charcoal color. I was going to give her cheetah "tears" from her eye patches to the corner of her mouth (instead of the grey markings, I was going to make them darker grey or black), but in the sketch it looked way too much like a mustache, so I didn't include it.
I'm still not sure what color her eyelids are suppoed to be. From the series, the Cats don't seem to put makeup at the top of their list, as their markings are usually decoration enough so I made her eyelids dark grey (I considered purple, but I thought that was too dramatic).
Uh...her hair was hard to get. She's not supposed to be me as a Cat (though she has some of my qualities, though I'd say all of my characters do in some way), so I didn't want her to look too much like me so instead of making her hair dark brown I went for a dark grey (not quite black). Her hair was an absolute bitch to color, since my greys didn't want to blend well and the hints of brown I did add in didn't show up that well....

What I really wanted to work on here was shadowing. I really need to work on it, but I don't like the make a shadow looks like a marking or put in such a wrong place that it looks strange.

Well, enough babbling about this. As usual, I could always improve, but in general I really like this little image.
