I HATE HAVING TO UPLOAD PICTURES WITH MY PHONE!!!!The first thing I'm going to buy when I get a good amount of money is a scanner...not a printer/scanner...an actual, plain scanner, one that I can actually lug around with me on trips or take back home for the summer. Β This shit is killing me!
Anyway, I was in the country with my family for a few days (we left the day after I got back from ConnectiCon) and I tried to get some decent drawing days out of it. Β The con really gave me a spark of inspiration, so all I've wanted to do for the past few days is draw, draw and draw.
Sometimes it works, most of the time I still draw crap, but I'm happy to say that I've been trying a few things and even if everything I'm drawing right now isn't great at least I'm trying new stuff.
Anyway, this was a first attempt at a new inking technique, where I use a regular ballpoint pen to ink rather than a micron or prismacolor inking pen--it helps keep the lines very thin and works well for doing details and fur.
Also, the dress is covered in glittery, stringy nail polish--it's nicer in person.

This is a pretty darn good take of a drawing through a phone! (Though there are cell phones that now have like 4 times the quality of taking a picture than the average camera.) Scanners certainly makes things easier, no tripod included lol. I use my school's giant scanner to upload my art.

Wonderful work on this one! I loved this as a WIP on your Tumblr and it's just as great finished. The motions draw my eye around and make for a very active pinup.
I bet the dress looks neat with the nail polish too. That's a quirky idea!

Yeah, anytime I have an idea for a showgirl/burlesque dancer it tends to involve a fox...I guess it's just the analogy of sexy women often being associated with the color red and being called "vixens".
