You guys didn't seriously think that I could let you suffer without adding some more suffering to the pile, now did you?

The sounds of fighting rang in the battered jaguarundi's ears. He knew that his hind leg was broken, his shoulder at least dislocated. The sharp pain on his stomach overwhelmed the pain from his neck bite, and he wished he could tell how deep his wounds were. As he tried to drag himself away from the battle, he could feel his strength wavering... Spots began appearing in his vision, and he knew if he couldn't stop the blood flow, he would die. He also knew, that in a few minutes, shock would set in, and if he wasn't already unconscious by that point, he'd have to try and keep himself calm. Shock could kill as easily as physical wounds. As he moved through the snow, both his hind legs had stopped working, and he collapsed, gasping for breath. The huge liger may have also broken a rib, he vaguely thought as his vision began sliding out of focus. Between the snow, the blood, and the spots in his vision, nothing he saw made sense, and with pain becoming overwhelming, he lay his head down, defeated. He would die out here alone. Before he would even have a chance to say good-bye to Ruby..

A wail rung through the broken jaguarundi's ears, a sound filled with heartbreak and loss, and for a second, he had enough strength to pull out of unconsciousness to try and speak, though he couldn't force his body to move at all... I'm so sorry Ruby..
