Finally. I am finished! That took WAY too long o.oI've been working on this on and off for around a week now. I got the idea to do this piece while I was walking home from school one day. My imagination goes in a thousand different directions when I am alone XD
I won't explain the full meaning behind this piece, but essentially this represents the inner struggle I've been facing lately. April was a wretched month for me and May hasn't been too much better. Stray represents my good side, the person who I strive to be. Gravity represents my issues, my dark inner voice, and anything bad in my life. Gravity 'shadows' Stray's movements so she must be strong to keep going and resist the dark temptations.Β
So, I tried to go for realism in this piece. I think I have improved greatly since my last realism piece and I hope to improve from here. I'm happy with how the fur and the water came out, but I will try new things with the grass next time. Gravity could also use some work XD
Time Spent: 8-10 hours?
Tools Used: Fire Alpaca, Wacom Intuos Pen and Touch, and a variety of custom brushes

I defiantly think you have improved. Your shading is to die for. I love the colors on the mountains, my only input on them might be to make the closer ones a bit darker. It'll give more depth to the image. How you did her face marking made it seem very natural on her face, though her other markings, when the image is made bigger look less natural. You're getting better though. The necklace is gorgeous as well, though a few loose strands here or there crossing over besides the larger clumps would be something to try out next time perhaps. And to end on a good note, I love the clouds. Like.

I'm curious because the skyline looks a bit familiar. Were the mountains based off the Rockies? Or was it just random?
