Here is a photo of me as Sailor Mercury when I Cosplayed her at Anime North last month. Sailor Mercury is not a Scout I ever would have thought to Cosplay. Truth be told, she was one of my least favourite Scouts. That is unless you count PGSM. I adore the design colours and hair style choice they made for PGSM Mercury.This costume was suggested for me and made by my awesome friend Ammie. She had suggested that my friends Pan, Sakura and I Cosplay Mars, Venus and Mercury respectively so we could match her height wise when she Cosplayed Jupiter. I'm always eager to Cosplay from Sailor Moon and I wouldn't pass up a chance to Cosplay with some of my best friends. :3
I don't think Sailor Mercury suits me that much. I much prefer Cosplaying Saturn or some of the other Scouts, but I had fun with it. I really like how the wig turned out. It's an Arda Magnum which Pan helped me trim.
We did a shoot with IcePhoenix at the Doubletree during the con. I like the photos, but it's not the best lighting for me. I'm looking forward to doing a shoot with my friends outdoors hopefully this summer. That would certainly be a fun experience!

Thanks for the compliment! Sailor Mercury wasn't one of my favourite Scouts so I was pretty hesitant to Cosplay her. I have a Super Sailor Chibi Moon costume care of Ammie that I need to wear eventually and she's also making me Sailor Saturns first fuku as the first time I Cosplayed Saturn I borrowed the costume from her.

Sounds like your pushing your boundaries a little but hey, if it comes out well, why not? You get to add another Senshi to your cosplay repitoire! Looks like you have some good connections for your costume needs, always good to have those in the cosplay world!

I was asked by my friends to be Mercury for an Inners group so that's why I Cosplayed her. (^^);; It was a nice experience and I do look forward to Cosplaying her again. My Sailor Moon costume is a bow and boot cover swap with my Mercury fuku so I was able to Cosplay my favourite Scout thanks to my Mercury costume. (^_^) Ammie is really awesome to commission for Sailor Moon costumes. Her work is top notch and she makes fukus in just a day.

That's nice of you to say! I really need to wear Mercury again to get better photos of it. I look forward to seeing you as Moon whenever that happens! Pan and I would love to re-wear our costumes to match with you when you finish Moon.
I also hear that you and Gilly want Amber and me to be the Saturn and Pluto to your Uranus and Neptune. I think that would be awesome and I'm really looking forward to it! :3

Thanks so much Rankin! That means so much coming from our adorable Sailor Moon! X3 I think we're kind of hoping that maybe we could arrange to do a Sailor Moon shoot in the summer somewhere here in Toronto. I don't know if you're able to travel to the city outside of cons, but if you are, maybe you could join us for a shoot. :3 I just vaguely started chatting with Ammie about the idea.
Oh and I talked to Ammie about her getting the wig from your bf and she's willing to do it. I really appreciate your offer to deliver the wig to Ammie!

You don't think you suit her!? Girl, that's crazy. I don't know how you do it, but you are so fantastic as every scout I've seen you as, and they are all really different too so I think that is quite an accomplishment. You have super versatile features and look awesome no matter what, you are so lucky! The wig is perfect too, most people get the wrong color, and blue wigs can just look awful to begin with. This one suits you so well! The makeup is great too, very natural and it feels in character.

You flatter me so! I'm probably a lot harder on myself when it comes to Mercury since I never really liked her very much growing up. XD Her and Uranus were my least favourite Scouts. Now of course I appreciate all the Scouts, but I can't quite get over my childhood dislike. lol I never thought that I would Cosplay her, but it was fun to match my friend Pan who was Mars. :3 After wearing this Mercury is growing on me. I do like the blues. The outfit looked really pretty while I was outside. I just think the lighting of this photos set doesn't really do me any favours, but I’ll get more photos in a shoot later anyway. :3
I was pretty picky when it came to my wig for Mercury. I looked for several weeks everywhere online that I could think of to get one with the right sort of style and colour. I’m glad that I settled on the Magnum wig though! With some cutting it really had some nice layers and volume for the character. Thanks for the compliment on it!
