Updated Icon based on the suggestions by ~Nedain307---
I am a huge fan of designers on Dribbble. So much so, that I've been trying to hone my skills with icon and interface design in order to possibly be drafted.
This specific icon was an exploration of icon design. I had previous work with icon design before, but with the techniques I have learned in the past couple of months, I felt that I needed to revisit the process.

mmm nice, but can I say it may look better if you cut the outer shape and delete it where the basketball is so it doesn't overlap it as it looks a bit strange... if that makes sense
