i did an exploration of my well-loved ink medium by getting some feelings out on paper. this is part of a diptych, now the leftmost part.

this was my expression of inhalation: or rather, the act of holding one's breath as if before a deep dive. as part of my exploration of my own non-binary identity, i have struggled with chest dysphoria. in this case, i shy away where i am inside celebrating. i feel like the binder is acting as a shield not only to the world but from my inner workings, the parts that wonder if i am trans enough. it is a good body. but it is tricky.
