Description Concept: The main character here is a Necromancer and, as such, his main objective is to not interfere with life but simply observe and learn from death. Yet...he goofs. XD I wanted the left to show him as he should be; the Necromancer with a ghost whispering into his ear. His hair is unbound and a hooded cloak wraps about him as Necromancers care very little for appearance and advocate anonymity. When he is in his element (death) his eyes turn to a milky sightless looking blue. On the right, is the life he restored ( a big no-no for Necromancers) which binds that life to him. The man on his right was a former despot that was overthrown centuries ago and now has his second chance. The Necromancer on the right is dressed in a military and rather decadent manner; no hood and his hair pushed back and tied to reveal his face. His eyes are bright with life and clarity. The opposite. Now with a Necromancer, unwillingly, on his side, the reborn would-be ruler's success seems only a matter of time. But with the necromancers stoic and strict sense of rules and this particular Necromancer defying the natural order .....chaos awaits. He was warned that to reject the rules of the order held a steep price. In the end, what will his 'punishment' cost him and what will cost the world?

Anyway, the Necromancer looking cold in the middle (between life and death) and staring forward. It is a delicate balance and it is about to tip wildly on the scales.

(Just another page of the sketchbook I am trying to fill up with quality...er....quality-ish images.)

The figure in the middle... that face... oh it's beautiful. I love the nose.
The concept is also splendiferous.

I always love your line art and the background text I would love to see more of that sketchbook!
That cold expression is just perfect

Thanks, Rosy. I'm trying to fill it up with only quality....which is why it is mostly an empty sketchbook. -snort-

This is a really terrific concept and the amount of work you provide in this piece's description is matched only by the fine details you included in this piece. Fantastic work with the center figure's facial features: they are stunning. The progress you've made using pencil is phenomenal.

-grin- Actually, pencil is my favorite choice for among art tools but I always feel it looks too rough to stick with. Of course, you certainly do inspire one to stick with the old trusted graphite. ^^

You made it seem exceptionally smooth in this piece.

Thank you. I do hope I am improving though I practice rarely and neglect my pencils much too often. Still, it is nice to know I have not completely lost my touch. Your remarks mean so much to me. Thank you again!

Is no problem.
I have a lot of free time on my hands seeing as how I'm at work and will be for the next hour and a half.

LOL Sounds like my job. I have more free time at work than at home. I do most of my emailing here and do artwork once I return to my house. So very backward!

I am joining in with the accolades - fascinating concept executed accordingly. Though only "a sketch", it feels complete as it is. Colour would only piss on its raw elegance.

Yes, color would not enhance it much. And I thank you for your warm appraisal. Your regard is always welcomed.

I really wanted to do MORE but...the position suited the story and the Necromancer wouldn't be giving anyone the thumb's up with a goofy grin so...it is what it is. D:

I still like it, never the less.

Thanks, luv.

i really like the concept here!! And all of the little details are just awesome. This would be really cool colored because I can already see the figure on the left being just solid enough to be sentient, but otherwise transparent.

ALSO: I fucking love the way you draw faces in profile o3o ~<3

Thanks, luv! I thought the ghost would look awesome in shades of blue but....I don't know if I want to color it.

Really?! I hate the way I draw profiles! LOL

Lol, well you don't HAVE to color it, but if you do I agree that it would look amazing in blues and cool grays~

AND I FREAKING LOVE YOUR PROFILES!!!!

It was a fast sketch while I watched '28 days later.' Not fantastic but not shameful. The guy's hand is a little....dumb....but the rest is okay. (I hate drawing cloaks and hoods so I kind of forced myself here)

Thanks, PM. ^^
