Ben, pendant la création de Tails, il devait ressembler à un Tanuki, mais à cause de Tanooki Mario(dans Super Mario Bros.3), ils(la SonicTeam) ont choisi de s'inspirer du Kitsune, yokai très reconnue au Japon.
