Finally finished it. This was my first ever concept of the flying turtle and his kid. I prefer him as a cute little baby, but what the hey. Used the same star technique as in a Twilight Frosting cos it was so lovely to do and I got a sort of oriental thing going on with the clouds. So pleased with the colouring and shading on the turtle. I like it so much, I'm going to print it on a T-shirt

I really like this...looks like it should be the cover of a book or a card...ever think of writing a childrens book for something like this? (if i missed that you HAVE made this a story i'm sorry, smack me for missing it. lol) And multiple baby turtles would be cute....think Finding Nemo kinda thing

Thanks. lol, I'd like to write childrens books but unfortunately my writing skills have always proved wanting, even if its writing for kids. I have written a book except i'm the only one who owns a copy (It's bound and illustrated and everything). I have an idea behind this piece which I'm still developing. And yes It'd look so much cooler with lots of baby turtles flying around in there. I might re submit it if I have time.

That's the life, swanning around on your own turtle. Everyone should have a magical animal for getting around on...all the cool ones are getting taken. I'd probably end up with a lame dwarf gerbil.

cool, jen-chan, i saw this being drawn in ur sketchbook. and i lurve those clouds!!! they're so funky, and i do prefer the small turtle, i think i'd have that baby turtle on his own on a t-shirt, so sweet!!!
