Self Medication is everywhere we look.
People are addicted to their pain killers, alcohol, scheduled drugs… anything and everything. Underage minors, unable to purchase alcohol or otherwise acquire a means to this end turn to more desperate options- dosing up on as much over the counter medication as they can get their hands on.
When I went to purchase these four bottles of Nyquil from a local store, I was amazed to find that there is a limit of how many one can buy. This may seem fairly obvious to some, but it totally threw me off track.
Nyquil… purchasing more then three bottles at a time is considered “suspicious activity” and the store’s computer automatically refused to scan the fourth one in.
This is the world we live in. This is cold and flu medication- this is what your mother gave you as a child, an easy to gain solution to a simple cold.

So… my ode to self medication.
