im going through old-ish art i uploaded on tumblr but not here yetthis looks really sloppy and rushed but i needed to get it out of my system
a big reason why i ship gwourtney
the perfect match for courtney isnt someone like duncan, who is so different from her she starts to wonder whats right and perfect and tips over sanity to get everything just the way she wants it
her perfect match isn’t jose either (josexcourtney is pretty big on tumblr), because give her someone who exactly meets her standards might be what she wants but not what she needs. hell, him being so perfect can even make her so insecure and go crazy trying to reach perfection because, as we all know, courtney is not perfect.
courtney needs someone who acknowledges her as not perfect
doesnt mind that she’s not perfect
loves her for being not perfect
think she is perfect because she isnt, and is just the way she is
and can calm her down, bring her to her senses, make her accept that she’s not perfect

The only reason why I never liked Courtney was cause she wanted the world to know how 'perfect' she was. From failed friendships and love lifes to screwing your team over to get back at someone, she just needed to realize that nobody is perfect and that's okay too. Job well done, btw. I agree with this. Truth be told this sort of thing is the exact reason I like Courtney as a character so much, she's someone that strives to be the best and let's nothing stand in her way. I'd like to think that she might have family issues or an inferiority complex where she feels she has to be THE best and not just HER best. She strives for perfection and sacrifices a lot to get there, problem is humans are naturally imperfect creatures, if she really did have someone to be there for her like Gewn is in this I'm sure she would have had the chance to be an even better character and maybe even let loose and have fun once in a while without being completely off her rocker like Duncan made her.

My poor Court, I really think she goes through that pression every single day, and, either if is a a friend or something more, is nice to see that Gwen calms her down and accepts her for who she is. aw that song is rlly cool!! by what theyre singing i can see courtney in both roles, but gwen not so much tbh...
because gwen is neither someone who dates a shit load of people and had to remind her 'baby' she still loves her, nor a control freak
