uhhh so ive been trying out a new way of digital painting latelyand im very pleased with it cuz i feel like it makes my drawings look more finished or something idk
this drawing was the first time i tried to apply it... hence why it's so simple
i decided to draw a type of girl that i think is really pretty and that ive drawn a lot before so i wouldnt have a hard time drawing the proportions and design and stuff - i wanted to focus on the colouring and the colouring only

haha it's this kinda filler technique, where you basically just go over ur sketch and fill in the messy spaces to make it look neat... i really like the outcome of it

This looks fantastic! I do love this new style and I know how hard it can be to find a satisfying coloring style because I'm going through that right now, I'm almost there though! Enough about me, though. This does look fantastic and i look forward to seeing how much you improve every time you post to deviantart!

and i wish you luck for finding your preferred colouring style! dont be afraid to make mistakes or try loads of different things, cuz thats what kinda happened to me. since i didnt dare to try different techniques i was stuck in the flat colours cartoony style for years, until i actually finally started trying to do it differently
the more different methods u try, the more u get to choose from, and the more ull grow as an artist !

I think I'm almost satisfied with what I'm doing, but then I see all this other art and I'm like "I want my style to look like that!" And it's an endless spiral *_* but I'm sure I'll get to a point where I'm satisfied somewhere in the future! After all I'm only 15! Oops I'm rambling again

ahh i know what you mean, there are so many people out there who have such amazing art styles...
though, if im completely honest, the way for you to feel the most satisfied with your work is to accept youll never be completely satisfied i think. and though that sounds grim, it's actually for a good cause! since you wouldnt be able to grow as an artist if you're always satisfied with what you do, and wouldnt want to push further.
so for that, a little bit of dissatisfaction is needed c:
