"You sure you two are going to be okay?" Joe rolled his eyes, giving his granddaughter a grunt in response. Leora grinned. "I meant the horses, Papa." The blonde giggled, watching as her grandfather hauled himself into the truck. Meanwhile, Silas bobbed his head as he shut the trailer door. "They will be fine, Leo. Don't worry!" The dark-haired man turned to flash a smile at her but when he did their eyes met. Leora shyly smiled back and, when the contact lasted just a second too long to be comfortable, Silas cleared his throat nervously. "Uh, we'd better get going...," he said, running his hand through his hair a few times. Leora blushed but tried to hide the color rising on her cheeks with another swig of her water bottle. "I'll see you guys in Carolina, then?" She said finally. Leora, while staying behind at the moment to take care of the other horses, was going to fly out to meet the two men at their destination, Tamarack Park. "Yea... See you in a few days. I'll call you when we get to our first stop," Silas replied, waving his hand awkwardly in farewell, and joined Joe inside the truck. Leora watched them go until they turned out of the drive, her stomach churning as she wished them all a safe drive...
