either way i feel they stopped making the game cuz w/all the different digivolutions, from some digimon who only have 2 while some have 4, then the fusions, it was becoming harder to lay it all down properly in a game, having to determine whos stronger and exactly they'll digivolve...too much to put into mind.
DRA1 only had 2 digivolutions, so that wasnt too hard to make
DRA2 only delt w/3 digivoltuions, so that wasnt too hard either
i feel that DRA2 didnt get enough notice, so they decided to call it off, which sucks, cuz i would really like to play another versus fighting digimon game xD

what about emperorgreymon and kendogarururmon? and u should change shoutmons line to
shoutmon--->shoutmon x4----> shoutmon x5---> omegashoutmon

then add more characters
