Ladies and Gentlemen!!!! Welcome to the first ever 2007 “Great deviantArt Original Character Race” sponsored by striffle! Yes, striffle……..”Bad art got you down? Well, don’t grab a rifle…..get your butt to deviantArt and go see striffle”.
Well, if you’re just now joining us, it’s been one heck of a race. Lisa and Dustin are currently ahead by a beer’s length but a blue Zeeblee is gaining impressively considering its apparent lack of legs. Vigil’s surprise appearance at the lead by utilizing a portal has officials reviewing the rule book and the nuclear missle piloted by Angry Penguin, Vince Rabbit and Cedric Squirrel has the greater downtown area being evacuated. A nuclear disposal team has been dispatched to the finish line.
There’s a lot of action in the battle for 2nd & 3rd place. Akiraine is the top contender followed closely by the Masked Drinker on his 5cc custom moped & the power walking Speedbump. Condiment Girl has taken an aerial approach but appears to be listing a bit to the ketchup side. Lucinda seems to be very relaxed in her battle and Jet is closing the gap on all the leaders. Closing the gap also is Redd Racer who has chosen an aerial position as well. SoloTotoCoyote seems overly relaxed in this competition.
The middle of our field of competitors begins with ggrreeggaa riding his 2 speed unicycle followed closely by pooterjon, who is expected to be drug tested at the end of the race. Officials are a bit suspicious due to his expression of “unnatural happiness”. We’ll let you all know how that turns out. Eve and rvxen are running neck and neck while Monito the monkey appears to have been distracted by the flashy Redd Racer. But Monito had better watch out because Red Vision is hot on his tail.
And things may get a tad interesting for our final section of racers as we may have an obstruction on the track……….our penguin racer has apparently gotten so excited with the heat of competition that he has dropped some bad chocolate. That’s right folks, we have crap on the track. This might pose a big problem for Taster who is approaching at a break neck pace. Dirk Orbman probably won’t have any issues with it since his current speed would only terrify snails and turtles. And speaking of turtles…….and, uh…..rabbits, out next racer may have a problem with that poop because their vehicle is all shoes. And we know how well crap and shoes go together. But a few of our final racers will have no problem with our new track obstruction. Jamaican Spidey and Veil are swinging their way through the ranks, which also suddenly has us wondering what are those vines and webs actually attached to. Ggrreeggaa’s second character has sprung into action and officials are trying to sort out if Rocket and Bounce are a single entry or double entry.
Well that’s our race coverage up till now. But with all these fine competitors battling it out, there’s no telling who will win it. So stay with us and enjoy the excitement!!!

I love how this art jam is almost a real race, in that the characters that were turned in the soonest have the biggest lead.
