That's a pretty good rendition there, maybe when you aren't lazy you can try adding more detail into the chest piece ;D

great job. i actually love this tutorial and will be an excellent addition to the mecha musume fan club. As far as fixing it in Photoshop it should be pretty easy to make it darker. Grab your original scan (hopefully you it saved on your computer) open it in photoshop, in the tool bar up top click on 'Image", then scroll down to 'adjustments', and click on 'auto levels' or 'auto contrast'. Those should help darken up your scanned images. It's what I always do. If you still aren't completely satisfied you can go back into adjustments and click on levels and mess with them yourself until you find a good look for it. good luck ^_^
