they have two brains. one in their head and one in their ass. its what allows them to shape shift.
the fuzzies above their brains show how out of control they are getting, due to stressful and improper transformations.

both. its just like real life except for actually having 2 brains.
but ideally, when both brains are in tune things go good. when the head is out of wack with the ass, things go haywire. people get turned into bimbos or pigs or cartoons.

yes. it can be like lsd. they can have good cartoon trips or very bad and potentially damaging.

What happens when they're completely cartoons?
Do they act like cartoons wanting to whack eachother with mallets, and drop anvils on eachother?
I mean, when they're starting, are they like "No - I'm becoming a cartoon!" and then when they're completely cartoons, are they all happy and saying things like "Hya! How's it hang'n? I got flatted yesterday, and it felt great! Who wants to be normal anyway? It's boooooring! I can't die 'cause I'm a cartoon, and I love it! Ahahahah-yuck!"
At least, that's how I think they must feel after becoming cartoons.
