This is absolutely gorgeous! It looks like you only used graphite, but even so, the shading around the eyes, caressing the jaw, and emphasizing the cheekbones is amazing! The proportions are pretty spot on, and I could tell who this is as soon as I saw it (though I was a little confused at first because this was thrown in among the Sherlock and I thought.....) As a developing artist who prefers drawing faces and using the simple graphite medium, I have to commend you for this piece, and say that I hope to improve my skills in realistic portrayals. I adore his eyes and love how you captured the bow of his lips. And the glimpse at his teeth was well done.
Were you looking at a photograph while drawing this? I imagine that would help a lot. And whether you were or not, this is fantastic. Ooh, that facial structure...unf, those eyes. (Who are you looking at, Merlin? Is a certain golden haired king approaching? Heheheh...)

Oh my my! Thank you so much! And yes, it was all purely graphite, from a cheap mechanical pencil, of all things.
And there is a photo reference, yes. Even though i seem to have lost it now!
