Description Okay, I took a speech class a while back, and we could get extra credit for bringing "warm fuzzies" to pass out to the class on speech days... little things, food, whatever, to help people relax. I made 28 of these little guys. Well, some are guys. This one's a girl. They're sort of like stress-squeezies, stuffed with spare yarn.

about 2 inches by 3. Pefect fit in the palm of one's hand. I wish I'd taken pics of all of them before giving them away... had a whole variety of facial expressions and colors. Maybe I'll make more; they seemed to be pretty popular. Think these things would sell?

You should try it. Handmade afghans can make a lot of money cuz they're so big; it's usually pretty obvious, even to the non-crafty person, how much time and effort goes into them, and that's worth paying extra for.

I had also thought of putting up a notice on DA that i would do commitions but i don't really know how to go about doing that.

thats such a great idea! its so adorable! How do you get the face on the front like that? I can knit, but all I can do is the basic stitch. so yeah. nice! ^-^

I used a yarn needle and sewed it on before stuffing. The technique is a little like back stitch, only the part that would usually be in the back is in the front. You insert the needle from the back of the fabric (at a natural opening, of course) then back down into the front about two stitch widths away. Then, you bring it up from the back again, in between the two points, splitting the original stitch in the middle. You follow so far? (I've never been good at giving instructions)

Helped get me an A! Nah, I'm kidding, it was like, .5% of the grade. But it did make me a little more popular in the class.
