I love ya, Optimus, but you were such an ass in that episode.

You've caught in your comment the reason I love TFA Optimus so much. He's no frikking saint, rather a person with faults and quirks like anyone else. Being a jerkass what made him even more relatable from that episode on - what made OP great in the same instance was that he realized he had acted like this and apologized. The following episodes showed then he put effort in getting to know the others better, especially Prowl and Ratchet in my view.
I hope I'm not asking not for spoilers, but how exactly are Megatron and Optimus in your verse related? You said in chapter 1 comment they were brothers, but wholly or half-brothers?

They are full-blooded brothers, except Megatron was born in Ultra Magnus' first litter while Optimus was born in his second.^^

No, it's known through the clans to the cats who were old enough to be alive during the battle with Megatron, but it's kind of taboo to talk about because they don't want the younger cats to know and take it against Optimus.

I can imagine - Megatron has become a fairy-tale, but 'people' tend to project one crimininal on the whole family or at least of close relatives. I wonder what Bumblebee, Prowl and Bulkhead's first reaction will be when they learn.
Apropos - in chapter 12 Megatron seemed stunned that Ultra Magnus gave another son life. Wouldn#t that be expected of him to continue his line? Or was it that UM had apparently sent Optimus away? It canβt be trueβ¦Ultra Mangus would neverβ¦

Megatron didn't think that Ultra Magnus would send his kin into the Twolegplace especially since Optimus might run into Megatron.

Well, UM didn't. At least he didn't intend to but Starclan had other ideas.
Oh, the drama that could ensue when the story comes to the time-frame of 'The Elite Guard' - but you won't tell of course if UM will have a run-in with Megatron. And when Optimus will learn about his relation to the Bloodclan leader.

But in any case, I'm glad he's not a godly like, always calm, and wise leader as he was in previous series. (It just gets old and predictable if you ask me.) I think it's a fresh new look for Optimus to have his flaws. It makes him seem more....believable and easier to relate with as a character.

You know I luvs ze Optimus kitteh! <3 I loved his little hissy fit or whatever he threw in Megs Rising, I was getting tired of the typical Optimus character who was a perfect leader and everyone lookd up to and loved him. That's why I love animated Optimus because he's still learning and is imperfect. Animated Optimus is definately one of my fav. Optimus' Hee hee loved 'im in that episode xD lol I love the expression on his lil' face.
