Energon and oil slowly dripped down the tainted claws that impaled through Bumblebee's body. Shockwave stared at his enemy's sparkless body hanging from his claws, his single red optic glimmering with evil satisfation at the murderous deed done.

"Such a pity you couldn't live long enough to see the beginning of Megatron's glorious reign." droned Shockwave, his voice betraying no remorse towards the fallen bot. "Oh well, it won't be long until your teammates join you into the dark oblivio-" His voice was cut off by a far-off cry that got louder and closer with every passing second.

"BUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMBBBBBBLLLLLEEEEEEEBBBBBEEE!" The doors of Shockwave's private chambers shot open just as a blue blurr came speeding in.

"What the...?" Shockwave got no further. At that very second, the blue blurr sped towards him and jumped. Shockwave only had a moment to recongize the face of the bot. His red optic grew wide with horrified shock.

"B-Blurr?" He spluttered in shock. A moment later, a powerful fist as fast as lightning, collided with his black face plate knocking the traitorous Decepticon straight to the ground.

"THAT'SFORCRUSHINGMEINTOACUBE!" Growled Blurr, shaking his fist at the fallen Con'.

Shockwave let out a sound that was a cross between a groan and a snarl as he opened his optic, ready to get up and finish that speedster off. However, when he opened his optic, he found himself staring into the furious face of Sari, glowing sledge-hammer in her hands. Before Shockwave could get a word edgewise, she let out a feral snarl and swung the hammer with all her might into his face. The force of it send him smashing into the wall; he groaned and slid to the ground, his optic powering-down as he sunk into unconsiousness.

Sari took a wary step towards him. "Is he....offline?"

Blurr peered closer. "Notforgood." He concluded. "Justknockedout." Anger flared in his eyes as he stared at the spy. "Weshouldfinishhimoffrightnow,Sari!"

The girl didn't answer. Blurr turned his head and saw her standing as if she had been carved out of stone. The blue racer watched her with cautious eyes. “Sari? What’sthematter?”

Only one word left her lips, as soft as a whisper but loud enough to echo throughout the chamber.

“Bumblebee.”

Blurr followed her gaze and felt his processor freeze up with horror at the sight before them. Dread trickled throughout his hard-drive like ice and, for once, he was at a lost for any words. “No…..not…..we…..he can’t be…..”

Sari said nothing. Slowly, as if in a trance, she began walked towards where Bumblebee laid. He had fallen from Shockwave’s grasp after Blurr’s attack and now laid on his back on the metal floor, his blank face tilted heavenward as if searching for his team. Three giant puncture wounds could be seen down his chest plates. Every step Sari took was slow and labored as if something inside her was breaking with every footstep. When she at last reached Bumblebee’s side, a chilling numbness had filled her.

“Bumblebee?” Sari knelt by his side and placed a palm on the side of his helmet. Its once bright golden color had faded into a dull, lifeless gray- the same that haunted her memory once before. She continued to stroke his head as she whispered again, “Bumblebee? Please wake up. It’s me, Sari! And Blurr too! He’s okay thanks to you.” She gently shook him but the bot made no response.

“Come on, Bumblebee!” A desperate tone had crept in her voice as Sari continued to try and get a response. “You’ve got to say something! You’ve got to get up! Shockwave can’t hurt you anymore! We’ll call Optimus and Ratchet will fix you up, just like before.” Tears had begun to slide down her face and fall on his battered armor like raindrops.

“If he can’t fix you, then I will!” she continued to urge, voice filled with anguish. “But you’ve got to get up! Your spark can’t be gone! You can’t be….you can’t be……” Her words trailed off as she gazed at Bumblebee’s face, once a mask of happiness and energy but now nothing more than a lifeless mask. There was nothing left of the Bumblebee she knew and loved but an empty shell- a broken machine.

“….gone.”

The moment the word was said, her heart broken into a thousand jagged pieces. A sob escaped her as wrapped her arms around Bumblebee’s neck and buried her face into his cheek. Her entire body shook with grief for her best friend, the bot she would have died for, the one she loved with all her heart.

Blurr watched the entire scene with optics full of misery. All the anger he had felt moments before had drained away to a dull grief for Bumblebee- one of the few bots that the agent would have considered a friend even though he had known him for only a short period of time. Watching the human girl grief over her friend was like being crushed by Shockwave all over again. Was there any pain as great at this?

However, thoughts came just as quick as actions with Blurr. He was used to thinking on his feet and as even though grief clouded his thoughts, a single memory shot through.

“Optimus’s spark got extinguished once on Earth by Starscream, right?” For Sari’s sake and for the urgency of the situation, Blurr was trying to speak in a slower fashion. Having spent most of his time alone on duty, Blurr had never had the chance to talk much to others. When the rare chance did come that he had to talk, it always spoke hastily. However, since meeting Optimus’s team, he had had more opportunities to speak than he had ever imagined. Slowly, he was becoming better at it. “And you still healed him right?”

“It’s too late, Blurr.” Sari sadly replied in a low voice, not moving an inch. “We had the Allspark with us when I healed Optimus. We don’t have that.”

“But the key had the power of the Allspark! And you have the power of the key!” Blurr continued. His voice was becoming more excited as he continued to speak and the speedster began to pace. “You healed me didn’t you? I WAS A CUBE FOR PRIMUS’ SAKE!”

“And you had a spark.” Sari’s voice was empty of any emotion besides grief. It was as if she had lost all hope, all the will to succeed or to live. “Bumblebee’s is gone.”

“SowasOptimus’!” Blurr retorted, agitation in his voice. “But you brought him back!”

“The Allspark did…”

“Sari….” The giant blue bot leaned down and gently tilted Sari’s chin up until her face was lifted towards his. In her eyes, he saw nothing but blue pools of endless grief. In a voice, unusually soft and gentle, Blurr spoke to her.

“I know it hurts, it hurts to hope for something even though every sign tells you it won’t work, but the Allspark chose to give you the power you have. You’ve done things I wouldn’t have thought possible for anyone, no bot, could ever do. I thought I was scrapheap, but you brought me back. Don’t you think that if there is still a chance….any chance that you can bring Bumblebee back…shouldn’t you take it?”

.........Wow, I think a tiny part of me has just became a Blurr/Sari shipper. It's right next to the part of me that's a Grimlock/Bee shipper.

Jeez, I actually teared up while writing this, especially at Sari's part. I hope you guys enjoy! The next part should be up soon.
