Description
A new anti-hero. Bullyboy is a super-powered delinquent, and Hotline's on-again-off-again partner (in several different senses of the word.) Originally just a normal kid with some bad anger-management issues, Ronnie Kennedy made a deal with the same demon who provided Hotline and her family their powers, and thus gained super-strength. Trouble is, their power level fluctuates, and usually only makes them stronger than the weakest person in the vicinity, hence their codename.

Consequently, their career is like a ping-pong ball; they'll fall in with a gang, often get mistreated because they're not strong enough to fight back against whoever's leading, try to defect to the heroic side for a while, only to get bored and go back to trying to be a villain, at which point the cycle begins again. The only times they have any semblance of stability in their life is when they're with Hotline, but as Hotline grows up, she's becoming less inclined towards criminality, which bores Bullyboy.

It took me a long time to figure out what kind of costume to give Bullyboy. I finally decided on a relatively simple design with some symbolism behind it. The contrast between the shiny parts and the dull parts represents the struggle within Bullyboy between their desire for freedom and their desire for stability, while the bright red lines represent the fault lines that are growing within them because of their inner conflict. Or something.
