Description
This is a work-in-progress of the biiiiiiig map I'm working on right now. The original is at higher resolution but I sized it down since right now it doesn't really matter. It'll end up detailing about 4/5ths of the property, but for right now I thought I'd just post the developed part until I finish. So you'll turn into the (hugely wide) drive, see the big Tamarack Park sign on your left, enter the gate code, and drive through.
If you take a left turn down the lane, you'll end up at the Carrough family residence, where Lane and Virginie still live. Anna and Niels each have their own small cabin-type residences elsewhere on the property (not yet pictured).
Going straight from the gate, you'll end up driving on grass. This area is kept open, and it's where we set up temporary stables, corrals, etc. for special events. It's also a fairly good place to warm up before going out to the cross-country course, as it's nearly as big as our (large) arena.
Going right down the lane, you'll come to the stable complex parking area. The long, skinny building close to the road is a storage unit which houses hay, farm equipment, trailers, etc. There's enough space in the lot to park a row of six-horse slant trailers nose-in facing the storage building and still have room to park large vehicles (like SUVs or trucks) nose-in toward the stables with an ample aisle in between.
Please see the Stable Overhead Map for a detailed view of the stable complex.
There are no shelters pictured yet in any of the pastures, but I plan on adding them.
The stables themselves have 24 stalls, though we could house 3x that in an emergency due to the way each stall can be split into three equal parts: indoor, outdoor covered half of run, and outdoor uncovered half of run. (That would be absolutely insane though, and literally we'd only ever push to that capacity if North Carolina decided it wanted to be California and everyone else's farm lit up in a wildfire.)
As it is, we never have enough horses to really fill out all the paddocks, so they're kept on rotation so the grass can grow. It works out.

I love the thought you put into the stable/farm layout and all those details. It really brings everything to life.

I'm so jealous. -.- I'd love to have an HARPG stable, but I can't seem to find an art style that I can draw very decently. lol I've made progress with Fawnlings, but that's about it. This looks great, though!
