this is awesome, i've tried to doodle stuff like this before, not with any fancy writing utencils either, just a crappy chewed up pen i pulled out of a drawer

but i've never been able to get that kind of shading on mine, or 3-D effect. i love it.

making ballpoint look this good is quite respectable nice abstract style i see you have your own signature of doodling thing with intricate looping designs and awesome shaded patterns i love it! i think my style can be explained as abstract circles, squares and triangles, connected together and put is crazy patterns.. abstract rules!

ballpoint doodle??? heh.
damn bro. this is magnificent!
i mean,...just how is someone supposed to critique this?
all the infinite detail!
i've been sorta lazy myself lately. letting the water and inks and watercolors find their
ways,...follow their own currents,...letting gravity, nature do the work for me i guess. heh.
but not you man. every line. every dot. every stroke. belongs to you.
you were 'there'. and 'there'. and 'there'!
as if you have this artistic muscle inside you.
and damn, you're flexing it!

This has a pretty nice flow to it, but above all intense and intricate detail. Very nicely done. DO you also work with somemicronpigment liners? This has a very accomplished feel. If you took some type of intaglio class, you'd enjoy it.

strohat In reply to wakasashe [2004-09-18 05:38:57 +0000 UTC]

somemicronpigment liners, intaglio, i'm sorry but i have no idea what you are saying here. simplify that, please....

wakasashe In reply to strohat [2004-09-22 14:18:27 +0000 UTC]

Micronpigment liners are awesome tipped markers that range in thick ness. One is humanhair line width. They just generally have a really nice flow when you draw with them and can create great details.
Intaglio is printmaking. You etch into a metal playe, basically like making a huge stamp. It pushes your drawing and design skills and creates some nice textures when u pull it off. I've got just a few in my gallery if you wanna check it out.

I'm not sure how I missed this when you initially posted it... but once more you simply take my breath away. You are a wellspring of creative talent...

...will you be coloring this in? Or leaving as is? It'd be magnificent colored...but it's stunning as is.

You know, I don't think you could draw anything that wasn't brimming with cohesiveness. Looks like you've been really busy while I was gone and this instantly caught my eyes. Not only because of your trademark curves and patterns, but I really go for pieces sans color. Again I make the comparison of thin-layer ice crystals forming on windows; it's an amazing piece of work.

Simply unbelievable when you consider pen is an unforgiving medium..and white-out dosent work.

i used to know a dood who did stuff like this ...giving up tradtional mediums and favoring ball point. ....work like yours is very rare to come across... And YOU certainly make the case for having this type of work become it's OWN category.

Wayyyyy kool mon.....

another cool work of you man!

i've been thinking, cause my art in some way looks alike, or i use the same approach to art.
i have a new vision about this kind of art:
I think it's a way to sharpen your intiution.
&that's something you need in these times, so alot of artist do it automaticlly

You don't know what you are going to draw do you?
just let it grow in some sort of meditative state.
the only thing that shapes it is intuition.
So, in some way, it has some kind of healing aspect.
like the subconsious meandering...

Through sharpening your intuition you can read your subconsious&control a bit by making your drawing better&better each time, while you are in that meditative state.

or something like that....

hope you understand

cheers,
keep making those drawings,
love them,
intuitive art
