                                  Shade

The screams from the mutated Manufactured mindless flying human,
     Cascade down the mountainside as it plummets from the sky and
         It drifts away into the winter wind.
      The silver sphere atop the mountain burst into flames,
          reflecting victory.
As the ghostly image of a once traitorous friend, now savior,
    fades away and passes on,
        two lovers embrace for the first time, in dieing arms.
Specking silent words, while finally resting together in the shade
     of a mighty hilltop tree, faces bathed in the warmth of sunrise.
         the first sunrise of freedom.
The cold, watery hands of death release a pair,
    the boy with golden eyes pulls his lover from the frozen ocean.
        With a life restoring kill, a connection is made,
            and one final magic vision is shared between the two pair of lovers.
And while the newly risen sun begins to shine over the decaying world,
    a mountain-top couple is taken under the cloak of death with the
        first real smiles upon their faces.
All the children of the world, all that is left, simultaneously cheer,
    freedom obtainedstepping over the broken bodies of their once oppressors.
The lovers walk, hand in hand, along the beach,
     into the golden light of the future.
