yet another page from my nicktoons calendar, this time it's "invader zim"!here's another show that i've never seen an episode of, but hear great things about.
this is actually the second draft of the illustration. the first was rejected because the composition wasn't "in-your-face" enough. i'm glad the art directors pushed me... i feel like this version turned out much stronger.

I love Invader Zim, one of those shows that was stopped way before its time.
I can almost imagine the gleeful laugh from this picture as Zim dreams of taking over the world.

I thought to be fair, as I love tons of the stuff you've done and given two compliments, I should note what I wish would have been done with this piece.
Of course this is a fun illustration and all that but Zim's antennae are black so the continued green of his skin makes it feel like they are fleshy extensions off the top his head. It really doesn't help that the spots carry on to the antennae.
I unfortunately question the use of spots on the character at all.
But, even though its getting dark up there I think it could have been pretty cool to have that red highlight you used on his gloves to define most of the antennae.

You should watch at least one episodes. Jhonen Vasquez's - [link] - style is so powerful, his sense of humor so cynical and twisted. You've got to watch it.
