Description 'Time may have changed me, but no so the Lady of Lorien' -Gandalf to Lady Galadriel in The Hobbit, an Unexpected Journey.

Characters copyright J.R.R. Tolkien
Art by me.

Quick drawing + colouring = 6 hours, most spent fiddling with colours. This was just for fun. I watched the Hobbit and the comment Gandalf made had me thinking how would he look if he was young. And this is it.

Well actually he was, as a being of spirit he has taken on Gandalf as form to NOT pose a threat to anyone, so he was while in Middle-earth or Endor rather always an old man, not so in Aman, but there he disguise is mood...

Who says he is on Middle Earth in this pic?

I see what you are saying, and this is simply a drawing for fun, posing the idea that Gandalf may have been young once. Spirits aren't born old either, everything starts as a spark and grows with age.

Don't read too deeply, I'm not challenging Tolkien's law, just drawing for fun.

Thanks for your comment.
