Appearance - Long-legged she-cat with a ginger, grey, brown, and white dappled pelt and bright amber eyes, with a dark "mask" and darker fur running down her back.

History

Before Kithood:

Before she joined the litter she would eventually grow up with, a small tortieshell kit was born to a ginger she-cat named Cherrysong. The cat had had a fling that she regretted -- and refused to raise the kit. Fortunately, her friend, Dappleheart, was also expecting at the time, and she ended up abandoning the kit and forcing it on Dappleheart. The current medicine cat, Littlebird, who had been watching her pregnancy, was appalled. The she-cat tried to get Cherrysong to keep her only kit to no avail, and in the end Cherrysong left with one less friendship and one less kit. Dappleheart was disgusted by her supposed friend's actions, but kept the kit as her own, naming her Ferretkit for the dark markings on her body.

Kithood (Ferretkit) :

Living with her littermates was heaven for Ferretkit. Her parents, Dappleheart and Finchsong, were loving and the best the kits could ask for. Finchsong would tirelessly give the kits badger rides, and their mother would tell them wonderful stories every day before they fell asleep. Life was amazing for the kits, until it was taken away from them. A disaster struck and took their parents away -- Finchsong first, and then Dappleheart shortly after. Ferretkit was devastated, and understandably shooken up from losing her parents so soon. She stuck closer to her kits for the rest of the time until they were made apprentices, curling away from the others and hiding behind Scarletkit before she gained her confidence back. It took her a while, but she was always closer to her sister than her two brothers.

Apprenticeship (Ferretpaw) :

Shortly after her parents' death, the kits were old enough to be made into apprentices. Ferretpaw, alongside her sister, were both excited to start learning. Her mentor, Stagheart, was a taciturn old cat who was hard on her, but also had a bit of a soft spot for the torbie. He taught her everything she needed to know, stressing the fact that she would have to work harder to be stealthy due to her bright white underbelly. She stuck close to her sister through the majority of her apprenticeship, always gossiping with her about boys and other goings-on in the clan. In fact, she encouraged her to go after her crush that she had on her mentor, thinking that if anything came of it, it could only be positive. She and her sister completed their assessments, alongside their brothers who had become even more depressed and resigned into their apprenticeship. And then the floods came. The floods took her brothers away and left her with Scarletpaw as the only family she had left, and Ferretpaw was there with her when the other she-cat's mentor disappeared soon after. The floods also took Cherrysong, taking away any chance of the secret being revealed to the clan -- or to Ferretpaw. During the ceremony, she earned her warrior name: Ferretcall. She was named for her diplomatic personality, and the few times where her leader had seen her calm arguments with just a few, well placed words. When they sat their vigil after their warrior ceremony, the sisters shook and shook, knowing that their brothers should have been with them.

Warriorhood (Ferretcall) :

Shortly after becoming a warrior, Ferretcall's old mentor fell ill. He was already on the edge of becoming an elder, and the sickness hit his body harder than Littlebird could have managed. Ferretcall mourned for her mentor, knowing that she was well and truly only dependent on Scarletmask now. The two sisters, if possible, became even closer, even sometimes sharing a nest in the colder times. They still talked and gossipped about things, and Ferretcall still remained protective of her (unknowingly to her) adopted sister. Her warriorhood remained relatively calm up until the battle with ThunderClan. She didn't arrive until halfway through the fight, having been told to stay at home by her sister. She only listened for a limited time and then she was by her sister's side. After the battle, she was attacked by Hazelwing at the border, earning a torn ear and scars down her left side. Soon after this, her sister was killed. It tore her to pieces. Already in mourning from her sister, she was even more ruined when Flameripple, her then sweetheart, died. Her emotional state was in a wreck, and it took her a while to come out of it. Once she got her emotions in check, she was determined to be a better warrior for her clan. Nettlepaw helped her cope through the emotional trauma, and made her stronger for it. All she wanted to do was be the best mentor for her apprentice to make up for all the lost time. It was after all this trauma that Ferretcall found herself being called into the spotlight to become deputy, an honor she would uphold until the day she either died or became leader. She never expected that she would come so far, and continue to move forward.
