Description Oh man I am sorry for this everyone LOL.
Also huge file; I suggest downloading it so you can see the writing on the pictures a bit better. c:

This "tutorial" is specifically and personally made for *bierderlack , and she ask that I make it as dumb and simple as I possibly could.

I hope I succeeded your wishes, senpai.

I'm sorry everything is so cramped together and just looks ridiculously unorganized in general LOL.
But really this is just for *bierderlack , and I know she'll be cool with it this way so HAHAAH EVERYONE ELSE.
Also she's only used Open Canvas up until now and doesn't know how to SAI at all, so yep.

If anyone else is helped by this, then woo! :'D

Vehc [2013-01-12 02:39:46 +0000 UTC]

can i ask what the 32bpp thing is? ^^
The previous version of sai I used never had that option

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

strxbe In reply to Vehc [2013-01-12 23:07:20 +0000 UTC]

The 32bpp is basically what makes an image a transparent image. Which means there is no background. (basically it replaces all the 'uncolored white' areas on the image with a transparency, like this: [link] )

To save something as a transparency, you have to save the file as a PNG file.
If you have an illegally downloaded full version of SAI from some file sharing site, etc, (meaning you did not purchase your version of SAI, you downloaded it free), then you will not have this option.

Hope this helped! :'D

This was an entertaining tutorial XD
If I may ask, though, what version of SAI is this?
I have neither the Lumi and Shade mode, nor the transparency option for PNGs. ugh

strxbe In reply to derBading [2013-01-10 07:22:08 +0000 UTC]

Ahaha I said with the transparencies (which also applies to Lumi & Shade, which I forgot to add), you need to either have the trial or the full, bought version of SAI.
If you downloaded a full version of SAI off of a website without purchasing it, those are a couple of the few things that are unfortunately not included.

I use Flash 8 and Fireworks 8. It's not that it's hard, it just relies solely on skill...
where a lot of art programs have "cheats" of sorts to make up for your shortcomings.
