For some people, they feel a distinct connection to both being a man and being non-binary. There are different ways to being non-binary, there is having a neutral gender that is neither male or female, having no gender at all, having a gender that is both male and female etc etc. Typically, non-binary men feel a connection to manhood and a neutral gender - but isn't the same for all of them.
It's okay to be confused! It can be hard to understand some concepts if you don't experience them yourself, the most important thing is to listen to other's experiences and be respectful
