(not something rude)Oh and this is my very first attempt at quilling. I am quite pleased with the outcome. I'll try something more ambitious next time.

was it very difficult to make? do you need some special type of paper or glue? I've been wondering for some time if I could use this technique in my cards, but haven't learned how yet ^^'

No it's not difficult. It's a little tricky with the fingers at times. You can buy quilling paper which you get in bundles around 3mm wide. You can use a small amount of PVA glue along the edges to stick it to the card.
The black tool to the right is a beginners quilling tool - the top has a groove to place the paper in and you twist it between your fingers to get the swirls started.
