Unfortunately for the young surfer, Skip is obligated to go to this very boring thing called school for most of his day. What makes it even worse is that they require a uniform that's all stuffy and uncomfortable. Worst of all is the long socks and clunky shoes that had to be engineered to be as uncomfortable as possible.

Every now and then (at least once a day, to be honest), Skip will try his best to sneakily make things just a little more comfortable and kick his footwear off until someone notices. He's been caught plenty of times, but no amount of scolding will stop him from being himself, even just a little bit.
