SPIDERMA'AM!

Sarah Jane Smith gasped and succumbed to a fit of giggles. She was shaking, partly with fear and partly with exhilaration! Walking to the office, she flinched when a sharp pain like a migraine had briefly flared at the back of her head. Something made her spin around to see a grey van mounting the pavement behind her. As their eyes met, the driver gunned his engine and it sped toward her, dustbins bouncing off it's front end.
Sarah stared at her hands as she recalled what happened next, she'd leaped at the wall to her side and started climbing! The facing was sheer with no visible hand-holds but somehow her flat palms seemed to stick to the brownstone as if it was horizontal and she was just scrambling along on all fours!
The van roared past underneath her, scraping it's side along the brickwork where she'd been-she was deliberately targeted, there was no doubt! She felt the breeze as the heavyweight swerved back onto the road and around the corner. Despite being no fitness fan, Sarah didn't slow but climbed faster and faster till she vaulted the parapet onto the rain-slicked roof;
"WOW, that was amazing!" She gasped, then turned back to see if the van was still in sight. It wasn't. What was that all about? It had to be related to some story she was working on, but which one?
"Just how did I do that?" She finally queried of herself. The crazy thing was, she'd been so ill recently from that insect bite...
"No, surely not?"
The idea she was entertaining was ridiculous in the extreme. Could the bite be behind it? Could she somehow have gained new abilities from whichever bug it had been that had bitten her at the institute?
"Cobblers!" Still, it was an odd coincidence...
