Description
I loved the original "Inspector Gadget" cartoon as a kid and found myself randomly in the mood to draw Penny and Brain the other day.So here we go!
Little did I know as a kid that Penny's fantastical "Computer Book" would one day be more or less an actual thing!

You know, Penny had an iPad 27 years before it became real, and even today, it's hard to replicate the charm.

I don't remeber that well, but didnt her book computer have a few features that modern tablets don't have (as standard) also i figured she built it, so she would regularly up grade it (i dont know many tablets that are internally upgraded easily)

Yeah, and the simple fact that she could apparently watch anything that was going on anywhere using her computer book puts it a notch above actual tablets!

Thanks.
In the case of this joke, I'm referring to the fact that "hipsters" often shun trends that are widely popular in favor of less mainstream options.

Agreed Penny, I'm fed up seeing adverts for tablets on 90% of all adverts nowadays! A computer book would be way more cool.

Thanks!
If I'd put all that hard work into creating a computer book, I'd be partial to it, too!

I like how you drew this. Though if Penny wanted a less cumbersome item, why not combine her watch/communicator with her computer book. Just a thought.

Thanks.
Yeah, I always wondered what one could do that the other couldn't.

The watch she uses communicates with Brain, through a transmitter in his collar.Β
Speaking of Inspector Gadget, what're your thoughts on the show "Gadget and the Gadgetinis"?

As a child of the 80's, the original Inspector Gadget is the only version I've ever seen.

I too am a child of the 80's an 90's. The "Gadgetinis" I think came in the year 2000 or so. I'll say this much. It's a totally different Gadget. You could find episodes of it on Youtube and a Wikipedia page, but you may not like what you see.
