Description
90s Storm from the cartoon series was my first exposure to the character, but shortly thereafter I read Fantastic Four vs the X-Men and other 80s trades and discovered MOHAWK STORM. People are fairly divided on whether this is a good look for her, but whichever way you lean, you have to admit it's pretty badass, and a makeover this extreme would never happen nowadays. This piece is pen and ink and then colored with my copic markers. I added the background and enhanced her clothing with some shines in 'post-production' in Photoshop.

This is a much cooler Storm than that 1990s cartoon tripe! The X-Men were cutting edge in the 80s. Unfortunately the 90s turned it all into a cereal box.
Nice piece.

What's better than being a Goddess...being who you are.
Storm's mowhawk is the essence of who she is - it represents her true sense of self.Β This is a beautiful vision of her awakening that I know 'she' would love.
Beautiful and meaningful work! Thank you!

I keep saying awesome, but even as a "writer" I can't seem to find the words. I'm a fan of X-Men (comic book collector) & you just really hit home with this. GREAT JOB!

I wasn't a fan of the look, but I agree that there's no other way to describe it than badass. Even more so in this picture. Awesome job.

I've not known a Storm fan that doesn't like the her Mohawk look. Why? Because, yes, it is pretty bad ass and cool and beautiful and no other than her makes it look perfect. As she is.
The artwork is completely amazing and I love the technique and the skill it shows you have. Magnificent, stunning piece. It is certainly one of the best I've seen of her. Thank you for it
