You've created a mesmerizing chiaroscuro effect with this piece! The values and lighting are so gorgeously subtle, and paired with an herbivore vampire in stylish period attire... it's brilliance.
The hatching and crosshatching give a fantastic sense of depth and volume. And, as others have stated, his expression is wonderful; so telling. Fantastic work!

It's hard to live with a mom who's obsessed with them And here I thought I was the only one with the problem! Granted she's not to the point of reading vampiric novels (she only reads Christmas novels), but she has just about every vampire movie made. I grew up with them, and learned to hate them pretty early. Yech!
