Thank you! The bright highlight on the nose is the only one that survived the fixative So, from now on I will scan the pictures first, then spray them. If the highlights disappear, then I'll rework them and try a second spray.

No, just a workable fixative. But the white pastel, even compressed pastel pencil, is prone to be affected by fixatives.
