Description
My wife wanted me to make something that we could hang above our fireplace. So, I started digging through my drawing protfolio from school. She looked at me...and I quote: "Something without naked chicks in it."Hmmm....ok...heres my answer. We shall see if she likes it.
Freehand 8.
4 hours.

Beautifully done, I'm no good with vector art.

"Good" is a relative term. I wish I had "style" other than speudo-realism...its boring and really teadious.
But I'm glad you like it either way

Brilliant piece, I wish I could create something as detailed as this !
Gonna have to it, just for the sheer simplicity, yet amazing detail.

Its always a great feeling when you can surprise yourself. You sould try someting you don't think you can do, just to see what comes of it.

..but isn't that a naked chick.??
well i guess it looks a bit old for a chick, but still.......
yes i think that would go very nicely above a fireplace - did she like it?

lol..naked chick indeed!
She liked it very much. The only thing is, without a print account, to get it the size I would need would cost $60+ just for the print (at my local Kinko's). Then I would need to frame it. Oh, well.

That is just amazing!
I wish I could make vectors, but I lack any program to make a true vector.
And the patience.
I love this!

A little one day, half an hour a couple days latter...youd be supprised what you can accomplish.
...You can make fake vectors?
There are a number of programs you can download for free to make vectors...saddly I cant remember where right now. Try *vbu , they should be able to point you in the right direction, if you are interested, that is...

I have to admit, I know next to nothing about vector work. Anyway, that bird - wow! There's almost a feel of transparency to the feathers, and it's really cool. It's very beautifully drawn, and the simplicity of the background keeps the focus on it. Lovely piece of work!

Wow, truly fabulous ( even without said 'chick' noodie aspects lol ). I like the crispness and simplicity of the piece ( that is, no distractions from the bird ). Very luvvly

Spank you very much!
Did the depth of field come out ok? I tried to blur the background...but I don't know if it comes off just looking drunk

Very well done, Mr Bronx The feathers look very realistic. I like!
I still think your psuedonym sounds very dirty-old-mannish, but still. That's irrelevant.
