Anyway heres the centre of a Spring Crocus at lifesize, the source of the world's most expensive spice, Saffron!

Thanks! The macro lens I have is a Cosina 100mm f3.5, a cheap lens that I was given by a friend.

Hmmm I would never say a Tarantula could be a 'et' as they're not domesticated and are unaware of our presence really.

Yeah, I guess that's part of the reason why I want one. No emotional attachment. Rats are a bit like that, they don't really get attached to their owners.

I'm not sure what the canon 10D is like. but some of the canon SLRs have 2.5mm plug for the remote.

you can easily solder up a remote release for that. if you want more details let me know.

Stumm47 In reply to Profcorran [2009-03-06 09:44:08 +0000 UTC]

No it uses a totally different connection to my other Canon, which is a real pain in the (_|_). Will just have to get a remote when I have the money(haven't paid the guy for the camera yet!)

Very nice Larry. I am adjusting to new contact lenses so it doesn't look real crisp to me but I think it's me not the photo.

These are my first. I'm not sure how it's going to work out but I'll give it my best shot. Right now one eye is cloudy and I don't know what to do about it.

Stumm47 In reply to Rebacan [2009-03-04 23:56:20 +0000 UTC]

Cloudy? That sounds like cataracts! I only have one eye and thats not brilliant. Couldn't live without glassser

Rebacan In reply to Stumm47 [2009-03-05 01:24:27 +0000 UTC]

No not cataracts just a messed up contact lense. I took it out and cleaned it and put it back in and voila I'm back in business.
