yea the scotsman failed dramatically about 2004 and had to be towed in to york. Shes back together now apparently. I want to see her steam!

flying scotsman is Gordon from Thomas The Tank Engine's brother.

yes, both gordon and Flying Scotsman are a4's, and Flying Scotsman was seen in the railway series book "enterprising engines" and in the season 3 episode "tender engines" but only his tenders were seen because the crew couldn't afford to make the rest of him.
