Description
This is the finished animation I have been working on and off the last couple of weeks. The story of this animation is about burning out as an artist, but I showed it as how Gondola jumps into the space and then burns when he enters the atmosphere. Even tho he knows what will happen to him before he makes the jump, he also realizes that it is part of his job to reach newer feats.

After I finished my diploma film I kind felt the burnout from the workload, and from my past experiences I realized that if I didn't started another project or continued to draw after that project I would just end not drawing for months or even stop all together. So I started this pixel animated short just to keep generating new art, too keep a steady flow of creativity. First time doing this pixel style and I have to say that this is definitely fun to do and I see why soo many people make this sort of art. Doing pixel stuff is very forgiving on the details and you don't have to be super precise with colors too. I might do some more pixel stuff in the future, but not for a while. Another thing with this project is that I set myself a rule to not use my mainly used programs but instead use just photoshop and after effects to animated everything. This was to force me out of my comfort zone and to learn more even though ps was never meant to animate with. And it still isnt haha. The whole time I was just dying to switch to blender, but I forced it to the end. As for the ending I was thinking of making an extra scene where there would be a shooting star burning but i realized that I was making the whole thing way to long that I was originally planning to. So I kept it short or else I would get sucked into the project for longer.

Anyway I hope you liked this short, it was fun making another gondola animation, but now that I have finished my ateliere I kinda want to make some traditional art. And also to catch up to inktober haha. Thanks for the kind comments and I will see you guys soon!
